The City Mini is an ordinary full-size stroller. It's only notable because it is light and compact. It also scores highly in all our categories. However it doesn't score quite as well as its peers because of a poorly-placed peek-aboo and storage that is somewhat restricted.
This is a great stroller for families that require something to help them get through their daily and occasional adventures. It has a very wide footrest and is padded, which means that children will be comfortable. The seat reclines to a nice flat position, but we found that it was somewhat difficult to adjust and required two hands. The adjustable calf support is an attractive feature that allows your child's feet to lift up when they're tired.
Like many of the other strollers we have reviewed The City Mini has a huge canopy that is UV50 and which parents rave about. The sun shade is well constructed and is able to pull all the way down which is great as it keeps your baby completely safe from the sun without the need to keep tucking it back into place.
The City Mini can be easily transformed into a double-stroller by attaching an add on kit. This gives you the possibility of using any Baby Jogger car seat and creating a travel system right from the start. The only drawback is that adding a second seat to the stroller alters its look and feel. Some parents may find this difficult to manage once they become accustomed to it.
Another alternative to the City Mini is the City Mini GT Double Stroller. This model is slightly more expensive than the single City Mini but it does include additional features, such as "forever air" rubber tyres and suspension which makes it suitable for off-roading. It also has an adjustable handlebar and hand-operated parking brake. This makes it more comfortable to use than the standard City Mini.
